I like Ike?

While we may not have enjoyed the aftermath, the skies during Sunday's "big wind" were dramatic. [Over 100,000 in the Cincinnati area still without power, 6 days later.]

It's frightning.
Good we both have power to say that to each other :)
We have lot of storms here in Sweden, but happily not in our area. People in the west part are used to live without electricity - we say just "el" - days and even weeks ...:(

Powerful sky! Sad about your power cuts! In Australia, a power cut for a few hours during a high wind storm can seem like a lifetime! I don't remember ever experiencing days on end without power!

What a dynamic picture! It's just like being there. How awful for those still without power.

Egads!
Is that what it looked like?

They're so thick and dark. By the time we saw them, they'd almost blown past. The blue skies that followed hardly seemed appropriate for all the mayhem we had to deal with.

Yeah, Nina, that's what it looked like, all right. Not only did the skies look ominous all day, but the wind was amazing, and it continued for hours. I kept waiting for the rain, but it just went on blowing.

When I looked out, my first thought was, "Wow! What a great SkyWatch image!" It's all about the blog, right?
