These orchids are only a few of the ones I saw at the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus on Sunday. I don't know any of their names, but they were pretty. (Click on any of the photos to enlarge.)

Kathi- You need a sniff-o-blog!
Did Zick go with you?
I always think of Julie when I see Orchids. I'm not brave enough to try one, yet. They're too pretty to kill.
Orchids always remind me of Julie, too. She was actually in Columbus at the same time I was, but our schedules conflicted and we couldn't get together. I really wanted her to come with me to the orchid show and 'splain it all to me.

Lynne:
You didn't get the scratch-and-sniff computer monitor? What's that smell?
;)

Kathi, have you guys had a major thaw in the past month or are these indoor specimens? I always thought orchids were a warm-weather plant. (Of course, I know next to nothing about flowers and plants, so I'm not even sure I would have recognized them as orchids if that hadn't been the title of the post.)
Regardless, they are beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
No flamenco-dancing lobsters?
Holly:
I looked for the dancing lobsters, but couldn't find any.
Kyle:
No, it is still winter in Ohio (although they are promising 61 degrees for tomorrow!) those orchids were indoors, at the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus. More on my visit there next post ...

Makin' me yearn for my orchid. It is THIS close to blooming (one of the plain sort, not the flamenco-dancing ones)
Hey, you seem to have gotten the macro thing down! Those came out great.
Beautiful! I hear they can be addictive however. Do you have any in your house?
