Random Cape May Skies

For this week's Skywatch Friday, I thought I'd share a collection of the skies at Cape May Point State Park.

The Hawk Watch platform can be a cold and windy place. When there are no hawks, it becomes a spot to Skywatch instead.

The view from the Hawk Watch tower.

We already had the lighthouse in daylight, but here is what it looked like at dawn.

And finally, the pond along the nature trail, where we saw many ducks and this pretty sky.

I have enjoyed this wonderful series of photos. Looks like a great place to visit.

I love the drama clouds add to the skies, especially that shot of the lighthouse.
Also like the tower picture. We so often see WHAT people are looking at, it's a different twist to see pictures of people, all focused on something we cannot see.

You must have gotten up quite early to get the wonderful shots. I love them.

Great shots, Kathi. Those streaks of clouds over the Hawk Watch tower almost look like the feathered underside of some giant bird's wing.

Oh these are those moody skies of Cape May and you've managed to capture several wonderful photos that seem to say, winter is not too far away! Reflective shots are always striking and that last one is very nice! Enjoyed visiting your post.:)

I saw two pileated woodpeckers yesterday ... it's been a couple years, so it was a big day.
